Phosphoric acid is mainly used for phosphate fertilizer production such as diammonium phosphate (DAP), monoammonium phosphate (MAP), NPKs, and SSP. About 90% of this acid is used for fertilizer production, with DAP as the most commonly used fertilizer in the world. Phosphoric acid is also used in poultry, cattle, and pig feeds as supplement. It also acts as an acidic, fruit-like flavoring in food products such as soft drinks.
